SHISEIDO PEPPERS

I've discovered my new favorite way to shop. A client turned me on to Mitsuwa Market in Santa Monica near the air port. It's an Asian market that has everything that you could ever imagine.

I found these amazing little peppers, you know, the kind that you get when you go to sushi.

WHAT TO DO.

Rinse the peppers well. Heat a saute pan with about three tablespoons of peanut oil.

Toss the peppers into the hot oil and saute until they start to char and bubble. Add a quarter cup of soy sauce, reduce heat and cover for five minutes.

Garnish with sesame seeds and seaweed flakes.
